OTRS for basic IT Asset management

Hi I am a SysAdmin and already using OTRS Helpdesk 3.0, with tickets received only through emails (helpdesk is only for internal purpose) How do I go about using the ITSM feature of OTRS for basic asset management ?? All I want is, to import data from inventory tools like Lansweeper, spiceworks,etc ...
