After fighting with this for 4 hrs I finally went and uninstalled perl (and that uninstalled OTRS,,,,,,, not what i was trying to do....) and reinstalled perl/otrs and updated the Kernel/Config.pm file with the DB user/name/db information and the server is up and running again. That worked, on S(small) it is perfect, on M / L it is not but that is ok, now I know where to look and should be able to fix it myself.

Currently what i have done is gone into Admin > Email addresses I have changed otrs@localhost.com >to> ads@abc.com this does allow the user to reply and then it comes back and links to the ticket. the problem with this is that when someone in sales queue hits reply it shows in the from field ads@abc...
