Release Notes: OTRS Help Desk 3.3.0 beta1 and OTRS::ITSM 3.3

Dear community members,

we are very proud to announce today the release of the first beta version of OTRS Help Desk 3.3.0 and OTRS::ITSM 3.3.0 (Release 3.3: Sunrise Beach Ko Lipe) and furthermore the patch level releases of OTRS Help Desk 3.2.10 and OTRS::ITSM 3.2.9.

OTRS Help Desk 3.3.0 beta1 contains a lot of new features in the area of productivity, working with external systems as well as installation & administration.

For example:

- the new graphical ACL editor makes ACL editing easier
- Dashboard ticket lists and regular ticket overviews can now be filtered by eligible ticket columns and the shown columns are configurable
- ticket medium and preview overviews are now sortable
- a new calendar widget for the dashboard can show tickets as events
- automatical storage of customer user data in ticket dynamic fields for permanent storage in the ticket. This can be useful for reporting.
- a new Web Installer that now can setup OTRS on PostgreSQL, Oracle and SQL Server databases in addition to MySQL
- the toolbar icons now use an icon font which makes it easier to create custom skins with different base colors

OTRS 3.3 includes many other small bug fixes, performance improvements or new features, some of which were contributed by the community. Please see the CHANGELOG for details.

The new features in OTRS::ITSM 3.3.0 beta1 contain general improvements like the ported code to the OTRS 3.3 framework and the migration of ITSMCriticality and ITSMImpact values from the general catalog to dynamic fields. ITSM related dynamic fields have been renamed to nicer names and prefixed with ITSM.

Furthermore the following OTRS Feature AddOns have been integrated into OTRS::ITSM:

- OTRSServiceIncidentState
- OTRSCIColumns
- OTRSCIAttributeSyntaxCheck
- OTRSWorkOrderTimeDependency

This enables a much more comfortable handling of ITSMIncidentProblemManagement, ITSMConfigurationManagement and ITSMChangeManagement.
