Hi!
Since each non LTS version requires the previous version and latest patch level I wonder if ate least there are any plans to provide direct upgrades between 6.0.x LTS and the next LTS version.

No. It is required to follow the regular upgrade path: 6.0 => 6.1 => 6.2 => 6.3 => 6.4 => 6.5
