Is there a way to assign multiple agents on a single ticket without the use of groups?

not with OTRS default settings. You might use Responsible but this is only a second one.

There are certain tickets that have certain parts which have to be done by a different agent.
Being able to select multiple agents for an overview would have been handy.
I will check out Responsible aswell, thank you.
