Are PostMaster filters applied to piped mails? (otrs.Console.pl Maint::PostMaster::Read)

Post by Afox »

Hello,

are PostMaster filters applied when you pipe mails into Znuny with procmail like so (ref: https://doc.znuny.org/doc/manual/admin/ ... eiving-cmd):

Code: Select all

:0 :
| $SYS_HOME/bin/otrs.Console.pl Maint::PostMaster::Read
My thought is that if this is possible I can simply pipe all mails into Znuny and do the queue assignment (and more) with the PostMaster filters instead of defining them in .procmailrc.

Thanks and best regards

This topic maybe answers my question: viewtopic.php?t=41407
You can still using the existing PostMaster Filter. Filtering with .procmailrc is an additional possibility.
If I read correctly the PostMaster filters are applied and even the queue mappings from the System Email Addresses are working.

Hi,

correct. Everything applies as usual.
It is often used when large amounts of mailboxes are fetched.
This may take too long and can be switched to delivery via procmail.
Then are filters and rules are applied as usual.
