Unable to generate standard reports

Hello,

I am unable to run the standard reports that come up with OOTB Stats module. When I run any of the standard report, it opens another browser and shows me index.pl (same screen that we get after we log in). Has anybody faced such problem? Are any other configurations required for seeing/generating reports.
