User encryption to MD5

Post by tumble2113 »

Hi,
I would think this would be easy but I can't seem to change the user encryption to MD5. I say in the sysconfig where you choose it from the drop down, but I am not sure if that is just for customer passwords. I looked at all the config files and MD5 seems to be loaded so I am not sure what I am missing.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

MD5 is not an encryption. It's a one-way checksum. What would you want to use MD5 for?
