When you create a new ticket with an earlier date, OTRS give an error.
How do that ?

You can't / change the system clock on otrs.
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.

Why ? I must sometime create ticket for a problem which dates from 2 or 3 days ago.
