I am using the TimeAccounting module to log the hours our agents work on projects.
In addition to tickets, we have defined projects within OTRS and an agent can either work on a ticket and account their working ours on one or more tickets or they can work on a projects and spend their working ours on a project.
They use the TimeAccounting module to create new entries every day, where they select the project they were working on, the action that was performed on that project and an optional remark.
Unfortunately, the remark field is not a mandatory field and is often left empty.
On the other hand, the action field is a mandatory field and users have to select one of the dummy values we created. But this field is never used. We need a free-text field and so we would need the remark field to be madatory and the action field to be optional.
Is there a way to accomplish that?

You will have to change the code. This is for sure. I recommend getting an agency to help you.
