Duplicate Tickets Via POP3

Hello,

I am using OTRS 4. Our ticket creation and delete the email after ticket creation via POP3 works fine but sometimes exchange server doesn't work and show the below error message -
'POP3: Auth for user email ID/IP failed!'

When exchange server starts working, all the stuck emails starts generating the tickets all at once and, generates multiple duplicate tickets for a single email.

Please can someone help me with this-
1. POP3 (auth failed) issue is with OTRS or issue at exchange server?
2. How to avoid creating duplicate tickets in this situation?

Don't use outdated versions....

Latest OTRS 4.x version was published on 2018-11-08
so you are using a very outdated version. Consider upgrading to latest version to get reasonable support. No one will really help you on such outdated and unsecure software
