ITSM repository not populating

Post by TSimmonsKSCS »

Hi,
I've just inherited an OTRS CE 6.0.28 system and I am trying to upgrade it as far I can. We're using the ITSM modules and I can't get the repository for znuny ITSM to poulate any packages. Without that, I have been downloading updating the itsm packages by hand at each step, and when I go from Znuny 6.0.Latest to 6.1.2, I now have duplicates of the itsm modules and all kinds of errors. I presume if I can get the itsm repos to populate than the upgrade scripts will just handle this properly.
In my Package::RepositoryList setting I have:
https://download.znuny.org/releases/itsm/bundle6/ -> ITSM 6 Bundle
https://download.znuny.org/releases/itsm/latest/ -> ITSM Latest
https://download.znuny.org/releases/itsm/packages6/ -> ITSM 6 Packages

I can wget https://download.znuny.org/releases/its ... 6/otrs.xml just fine from the server, if that matters.
I have backed off to 6.0.Latest from the 6.1.2 upgrade attempt (reverted vm snapshot) so I have a testbed to play with. Any thoughts?

Those look like what I'm using already. Do I need to include the otrs.xml in the url in the RepositoryList setting? The documentation didn't say to.

not sure, however no need for that..at least in my system.
And based on 1st post, the repo version 6 instead of 6x..

Alternatively, you may update manually via console

**this for bundle itsm

Code: Select all

shell > su -m otrs -c "/opt/otrs/bin/otrs.Console.pl Admin::Package::Upgrade https://download.znuny.org/releases/itsm/bundle6x/:ITSM-6.1.1.opm"

I had been upgrading manually during each update step to bring the packages up to the matching code level since I couldn't get the repos to work. That resulted in my having duplicate, which is to say both 6.0.31 and 6.1.0 versions of the ITSM modules in my packages and the bunch of errors that kept me from moving forward. I have used the 6/ and 6x/ bundles and packages URLS, no difference. They don't populate when I add them to the repos list. No packages show up under them and there are no log entries saying why.

Just succesfully updated our production from 6.0.48 to 6.1.2 and to 6.2.2 and skipped installing the ITSM 6.1 package.

Up to 6.5.1 :wink:

How did you manage to skip the itsm 6.1 package? I didn't think the site would work if you didn't update it. What was the first itsm package you installed, and are you showing packages from the itsm repos in your package maanger?

After executing the migration script for the 6.1 update I went straight to updating to 6.2.

Of course after testing on a test environment.
