POP3 troubleshooting

Post by nereid »

Hello:

I have just installed OTRS from Debian lenny (2.2.7) for evaluation porpouses, I have set up a pop3 account (with plain auth not ssl). It seems that it is not working.

Where I can look for errors? Any logs? Can I launch the retrieval process by hand to look what is happening?

Best regards & Thanks in advance

Depending on how you set up OTRS, you probably can find more info in the syslog.

But I want to mention that your version of OTRS is REALLY old. The current version is 2.4.7 and is available in Debian Testing. Alternatively, you can do a 'manual install' - see http://wiki.otrs.org/index.php?title=In ... 5.04_lenny

Thanks for the answer, I have upgraded to the last version, and checking on syslog, I see the mail and a auth error. I change the pop3 server to gmail, and now is working OK. I will evaluate OTRS with a running version, that is the only way to test it :-)
