[Resolved]Unable to connect - installer.pl

Hello all,

I have an issue while installing OTRS 2.4 on RedHat Enterprise Linux 5.5
I'm doing the installation with the sources and blocked on the step of creating the MySQL database with installer.pl

When trying to reach the web page, I always get the error: Unable to connect

I could go ahead with creating the database manually, but I guess that I will probably have problems later to access OTRS.

Did anybody have an idea of what could be the issue.

I made the following changes in http.conf

Code: Select all

#LoadModule cgi_module modules/mod_cgi.so
LoadModule perl_module modules/mod_perl.so

and put the .conf file in conf.d

is the apache prozess running? did you have a look in apache error log?

thanks for your support AND sorry for my late answer, nights are quite short currently

I finally found the solution. As we are using Apache for an other tool on the same server, there was a kind
of configuration conflict between OTRS and the other application.
I moved the second one on a separated port and since it went properly through
