As of now, in order to create/edit an FAQ article you must be signed into an Agent account that has FAQ permissions, Customer accounts can only view them. I want my customers seperate from my agents, but I would like for users to be able to create the FAQ article.
I have fallen short handed in my research of this topic... Is their documentation on this process that I could not find? If so, do share.

this is not possible at the moment. To modify this behaviour , a larger rework would be needed.
