Send Client notification when agent updates a ticket

Currently we re using the otrs version 3.3.1 and when an customer adds a note the agents are updated with a notification saying there is a ticket update. I want to know how to enable that to the customers so when an agent adds a notes to the ticket the customer gets an email notification saying there is a ticket update.

If you are going to try to send the client the content of the note, then use a reply/response template.
If you are simply notifying that a user must log in to your OTRS website to read the note, then use a notification event.
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.

Isn't that done by default, if your agent selects a note of type "external" ?
Currently using: OTRS 6.0.14 -- MariaDB -- Ubuntu 16 LTS

No, it does not send notifications. It's simply a "read it on your web login"
