Hi all,
I am implementing a new feature for our team to share the searching templates across agents.
I've done some research and found a very old post stating we could add a new check box and alter the search_profile table to host the "global search" flag.
Wondering if the solution still fits the latest version? Does the latest version come with any new configurations that we could use to implement the requirements?
Below are some details:
OTRS: 3.3.8 on Centos Linux 6.5, Apache 2.2.15.
I've tried:
1. to add a new check box into otrs/Kernel/Output/HTML/Standard/AgentTicketSearch.dtl
2. to get the value of the checkbox variable from otrs/Kernel/Modules/AgentTicketSearch.pm, but seems to be failed.
3. to try to get the value from otrs/Kernel/System/SearchProfile.pm, failed again.
I am pretty new to the framework, and have gone through the basic docos, but didn't find anything helpful.
Can you please advise what steps should I follow to get it done?
Thank you!
Aaron

You might look at KIX4OTRS for this. I don't use it and cannot support it.
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.
