How to enable Customer Auto Login Creation

Hello,

I am new to OTRS. I was able to successfully complete email and autoresponse configuration. However, I am not able to find a way to enable customer auto login creation when a email ticket is submitted from new customer. Every time a new customer submits a ticket I would like the system to auto create login and send the details to customer.

Please let me know, how that can be done.

I assume you have a plan in place to deal with spammers and unwanted/automated user creation attempts, too.

Note that it's important to a ticketing system to know who your customers are. You won't like having a customer base populated with 400 increase_your_size@we_sell_lots_of_stuff.com emails.

Thanks for your response. Got to think of a plan to avoid spammers...that said, can you still let me know how to enable customer auto login creation.

I cannot help you. It's not necessary for handling of a ticket that a customer exists.

So, how can a customer see the progress of the ticket with out login to the ticket system? Please let me know.

Also, please consider they aren't a customer if you don't know who they are. In almost every case on the web, registration to a website is necessary to provide interaction. If self-registration is not necessary, it's usually because the company providing service has already added the user to the database because they know who they provide service for.
