This is not an OTRS issue.
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.

Its still a mod which is needed to increase otrs Performance...

So does anybody has comparable issues or maybe a solution to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I have the same on a SuSE 13.1
but no solution, I disabled mod_deflate and wait for a fix from apache/perl/OTRS
(don't know what causes the error)

Hi,
may you grep and post here the APACHE_MODULES actually installed on your environment?

I installed OTRS 3.3.9 on a OpenSuSE 13.1 after installing and preparing apache2 with the procedure below:

- Installed OpenSuSE 13.1 with Minimal Server Selection (Text Mode)
- disable firewall
- enable SSH service

After the installation completed, at the root prompt:

Code: Select all

# zypper install apache2 apache2-devel apache2-mod_perl
Loading repository data...
Reading installed packages...
Resolving package dependencies...

The following 45 NEW packages are going to be installed:
  apache2 apache2-devel apache2-mod_perl apache2-prefork apache2-utils binutils gcc gcc48 glibc-devel libapr-util1 libapr-util1-devel libapr1 libapr1-devel libasan0 libatomic1 libdb-4_8-devel libexpat-devel libgomp1 libitm1 liblua5_2
  libtsan0 linux-glibc-devel openldap2-devel perl-Data-Dump perl-Encode-Locale perl-File-Listing perl-HTML-Parser perl-HTML-Tagset perl-HTTP-Cookies perl-HTTP-Daemon perl-HTTP-Date perl-HTTP-Message perl-HTTP-Negotiate perl-IO-HTML
  perl-IO-Socket-SSL perl-LWP-MediaTypes perl-LWP-Protocol-https perl-Net-HTTP perl-Net-LibIDN perl-Net-SSLeay perl-Tie-IxHash perl-TimeDate perl-URI perl-WWW-RobotRules perl-libwww-perl

The following 6 recommended packages were automatically selected:
  apache2-prefork perl-Data-Dump perl-IO-Socket-SSL perl-LWP-Protocol-https perl-Net-LibIDN perl-TimeDate

45 new packages to install.
Overall download size: 20.0 MiB. After the operation, additional 91.1 MiB will be used.
Continue? [y/n/? shows all options] (y): y
Then I proceded with the enablement of required apache modules

Code: Select all

# grep APACHE_MODULES /etc/sysconfig/apache2
APACHE_MODULES="actions alias auth_basic authn_file authz_host authz_groupfile authz_user autoindex cgi dir env expires include log_config mime negotiation setenvif ssl userdir reqtimeout authn_core authz_core"

# a2enmod perl
# a2enmod deflate
# a2enmod headers
# a2enmod filter

# grep APACHE_MODULES /etc/sysconfig/apache2
APACHE_MODULES="actions alias auth_basic authn_file authz_host authz_groupfile authz_user autoindex cgi dir env expires include log_config mime negotiation setenvif ssl userdir reqtimeout authn_core authz_core perl deflate headers filter"
Finally I enabled apache2 service (to start at boot) and I opened the firewall for apache services (not required as far as the firewall has been disabled, however... never say never :) )

Code: Select all

# systemctl enable apache2.service
# sysconf_addword /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2 FW_CONFIGURATIONS_EXT apache2
# sysconf_addword /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2 FW_CONFIGURATIONS_EXT apache2-ssl
# rcSuSEfirewall2 restart
That's all for the apache2 configuration in my test environment... of course the configuration of the system is not complete, I needed to install and configure the db (I used MariaDb) and all the required perl modules, but finally the setup of OTRS completed successfully.

I hope you find some useful hints in the procedure I followed...
OTRS 6.0.x on CentOS 7.x with MariaDB 10.2.x database connected to an Active Directory for Agents and Customers.
ITSM and FAQ modules installed.
