In preparation for an upgrade, I am trying to make my first ever backup.
I'm running 3.2.9. When I run (as root)
cd /opt/otrs/scripts/
./backup.pl -d /backups
I get the following:
Backup /backups/2014-12-02_11-44/Config.tar.gz ... done
Backup /backups/2014-12-02_11-44/Application.tar.gz ... done
Dump MySQL rdbms ... mysqldump: Error: 'Can't create/write to file '/var/tmp/mysql.2lVPUn/#sql_66e_2.MAI' (Errcode: 2)' when trying to dump tablespaces
mysqldump: Couldn't execute 'show fields from `article`': Can't create/write to file '/var/tmp/mysql.2lVPUn/#sql_66e_0.MAI' (Errcode: 2) (1)
failed
Any help appreciated.

a popular search engine points to lack of space in path.
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.

Have tried all popular search engines, to no avail. What finally solved it was #drumroll# fsck...
