Closing Tickets without adding a note

Post by winnie »

Hi,

can you tell me if it is possible to close a ticket without adding a note? I would like to add an action link in my Queue view next to close (which requires adding a note) so that I can quickly close a ticket without adding a note.

I tried searching the forums and the system for a way to add this but could not find it.

Thanks for your help,
Winnie

At first, I simply used a period as the only text in the note. Then I turned off the Note function:

Config Options: Ticket -> Frontend::Agent::Ticket::ViewClose
Ticket::Frontend::AgentTicketClose###Note: No
Show note fields.

Turn off anything else you wish to remove as well.

Crythias!

thank you so much for the quick answer. This is already very helpful and works well.

However, I would like to even save the extra step and just close a ticket without note with just one mouseclick.

Cheers and thanks!

I also found this helpful - I didn't know you could hide the note field on close. Even better is that you can default the text to something, like "Closed", and then still change it for that 2% of the time when you need to.

But I would also like to be able to single-click Close a ticket. It's important to make processing tickets as quick as possible, and this would save an extra click and screen refresh.

I would like to be able to the same thing with the Spam button. Click it and it moves it to the spam queue and immediately goes back to the previous screen. Would really speed up the process.

I think reneeb has published an addon "quick close", you might want to take a look at that (though I have no idea if the quick is 1-click)
Currently using: OTRS 6.0.14 -- MariaDB -- Ubuntu 16 LTS
