Hi everyone,
I am trying to upgrade from OTRS 3.2.9 to the latest version and have few questions in relation to this.
1. I cannot find the Windows installer setup for 4.0.3 as there is only an appliance version on OTRS site.
2. Is there a installation manual for Windows users? I am using IIS as a webserver and SQL Server as a backend.
If you could answer the questions above, it will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Aamir

There's only an upgrade path to 3.3.latest (which is a required intermediate step anyway).aamira wrote: Is there a installation manual for Windows users? I am using IIS as a webserver and SQL Server as a backend.
At 4.x, it's just impractical to support Windows, especially as the required Perl Modules aren't exactly available for "free", nor is it easy to support Windows differences. (This is my guess, but basically, no, no more Windows Installers, at least according to what jojo has posted.)
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.

Re: Upgrading from 3.2.9 to 4.0.3
Hi,
That's disappointing.
We have been using OTRS, on Windows for 3 years now and always were able to upgrade to the latest version without to much effort. If no new Windows versions will be released we have to decide if we want to invest in *NIX skills in order to support OTRS. In addition we found the OTRS 4 appliance uses ProgreSQL instead of MySQL, since we have built some custom reports using ODBC, changing to ProgreSQL will require more time and money
Best regards,
Maurice

What is my possible solution if I am on OTRS 3.2.10 and want to upgrade to the latest version. I don't have any other option than hosting it on Windows.
Thanks,
Aamir
