Allow additional hyperlinks (file:// or smb:// or ...)

Hi,

I would like to know how I can allow more protocols to automatically create hyperlinks. Currently this is only the case for http and ftp.
We would like to add a field in the CMDB which links to our fileserver's folder with this customer's documentation.

If someone can tell me where/how I can add additional protocols for URL creation, that would be great.
Otherwise I will need to set up WebDAV to allow http links.
