Hostmonster

Post by altjx »

I was directed to the Admin manual on how to set this up on a webhost such as HostMonster. My site is being hosted by HostMonster but I do not know how to do this. It seems as if everything in the manual shows how to set it up locally, but what about on another webhost?

you'll need shell access as root. If you don't have it you'll need to:

- run it locally
- search for a better provider
- use managed service from OTRS Inc.
- wait for the OTR SaaS offering in October
"Production": OTRS™ 8, OTRS™ 7, STORM powered by OTRS
"Testing": ((OTRS Community Edition)) and git Master

If you have shell access, you should be able to install it according to the instructions. http://doc.otrs.org/2.4/en/html/c444.html

Even if you're installing from source, it's not that bad. OK, if you don't know about things like cpan, etc. this may be a slight bit daunting. If you don't know what to do with shell access, ...
