.Doc file are opened in an ASCII format .How to solve ???

Friends
We are using OTRS 2.4.9 + ITSM 2.0.2 windows version . While i am attaching a .doc file any where in the application like FAQ attachments,ITSM change attachment it is attached normally BUT when i want to open the same file by double clicking it then asking for FileConversion and file is opened in an ASCII format as the below image . Only .doc files are facing this issue how to solve this
For other files(like .xls,.ppt,.bmp,.gif etc) this problem is not faced
