Integration OTRS and Nagios
Hai..Is it latest version of OTRS can integrate with nagios.?? I tried to follow the documentation on http://otrs.org/media/nagios_conference_2008_en.pdf but I'm not clear enough..First thing, it said about System Requirement, then follow up by SystemMonitoring module, Nagios Configuration and etc...Suddenly, it wrote about OTRS Configuration Console...how it can be so fast talking about that..It suppose talk where to open that thing..
Can anyone help me troubleshoot this problems..when I'm entering the service on Nagios, it said "plugin may be missing"...Please help me...huhuhuhu..

Re: Integration OTRS and Nagios
I've done it with Version 2.4.x based on this http://www.netways.de/uploads/media/Wol ... TRS_02.pdf approach
the necessary scripts (eventhandlers) can be found at https://www.monitoringexchange.org/inve ... agios-OTRS
and last not least, I changed a bit of code, because I wanted to get feedback (eg link to ticket) from OTRS into Nagios immediatelly after acknowledging the problem

Do you have any documentation to publish?
I am just fighting with this. I am using /usr/sbin/sendmail instead of /usr/bin/mail, and then syntax for email is little bit different. I am not so good with code, so I just have to test different variations.
Also that part of link to ticket into Nagios sounds great.
Too bad that there is no documentation for the scripts.
PS. I couldnt find the scripts from URL you provided, but I think they are same scripts than HERE

Re: Integration OTRS and Nagios
Well, I agree, documentation could be improved ...
It also took me 3 attempts to come to the point
After getting the idea
The one thing i changed is in 2) when service goes to red; i did not want to wait for changing state and changed code in System/Postmaster/NewTicket.pm accordingly.
It also took me 3 attempts to come to the point
After getting the idea
It was quite easyService/Host going to red:
1) Nagios -> Acknowledge -> eventhandling scripts sending mail -> OTRS -> Systemmontoring::Core::Postmaster Module -> New Ticket
2) OTRS -> OnEvent Changing State -> Send Acknowledge Systemmontoring::Nagios::Acknowledge -> Nagios update Acknowledge
Service / Host turning back to green:
1) Nagios -> eventhandling script sending mail -> OTRS -> Systemmontoring::Core::Postmaster Module -> Ticket for this Service/Host? -> Yes: Close, No: Ignore
