Default ticket next state

Dear All,

I am trying to change default next state of the ticket while replying. when i change in sysconfig to "close" it is again going back automatically to "open". i want to set it to default "close". please help.

about state i am chaning in Ticket::Frontend::AgentTicketCompose###StateDefault but reverting back again to open

OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.

when i change to close from open state,after submitting it retrun back to open. this is for compose ticket next state.

what does System Log say with regard to that? Automatically opening again seems to imply a notification (event) or some other response (like out of office) immediately comes from the customer, opening the ticket.
