Hi,

Was wondering if this is possible?

Can I have a pending state, that stays pending until the ticket gets updated? Ideally, the ticket would be pending till the client sends in an email/reply.

Yes. It's a state called pending...
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.
