Upgrade 3.0.6 -> 3.0.8

Post by dvdlpzlpz »

Hi,

after upgrading from 3.0.6 to 3.0.8 all aditional packages menu have disappeared. I have reinstalled all the packages. Agents, groups, and permissions are correct.

Any idea?

Thanks a lot

Did you restore your 3.0.6 config files and
otrs.DeleteCache.pl
otrs.RebuildConfig.pl
afterwards?
Restart apache!

If this does not help, what does your log say?

Hi
We are planing upgrading 3.0.6 to 3.0.8 but I have no idea where to start (do i need to backup database, run installer and restore database etc).
I upgraded from 2.7 to 3.0.6 recently but I found some video on youtube on how to do it.
Is there any howto`s on upgrading 3.0.6 to 3.0.8?
we are on windows platform.
Thanks

Going from 3.0.6 to 3.0.8 is no Upgrade (functionality), but an Update (patches).
Difference is, that DB as well as config is fully compatible.

You´d only have to take care of your own modifications to files in the framework itself.

Agree. For the most part it's simply backing up the directory (although a full db backup can never hurt anyway) and plopping the new version on top of the old. You may have to check for chown permissions afterwards, though. And, like ferrosti said, be aware that any customization to core code and themes will be overwritten.
