Hi all,
since this week I have been encountering problems with my OTRS where many admin actions related to e-mail aren't functioning as they should.
The index.pl is being downloaded (after an action such as Fetch Mail or respond to ticket), instead of executed. (regardless of browser)
I have checked the logs for apache and there is no problem there. What's also strange is that the administrator login page (/otrs/index.pl) is working fine.
Googling this problem I've found similar cases, but none offer a definitive solution. Anyone know what might be causing this and what I could do fix this?

check your email settings for outbound mails. (and also the OTRS log)

Hi jojo, thanks for the quick reply. However, this doesn't seem to be the main issue.
I checked the outgoing mail settings in SysConfig->Core::SendMail and they are fine. After pressing "Update" once more an index.pl was downloaded. So it seems that it's not only a mail-issue but more general.
The OTRS log in /var/log/syslog doesn't show any abnormal activity, neither does the /var/log/messages.
Any other suggestions I could try (that don't involve re-install of OTRS)?
