Some browsers don't save login credentials

Hi,

In order to speed up the login process, some of my users want their browser to save their login credentials. Several browsers (firefox, opera, internet explorer) don't load the credentials when the login screen is visited again and don't ask again to save the password. Chrome does save the password and does load it correctly again. Do you know why this is happening and if there might be a configuration setting to enable this?
