Service name translation

Post by ChristopheT »

Hi,

I have to configure OTRS in French and English.
Is it possible to translate the service names ?
I've try to use the \Kernel\Language\fr.pm file to do this, but it's doesn't work.

Thanks for any help.

As the Service names are user entered, the answer is no, but you could put the translation in the service name
de plomberie/plumbing
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.

I put in service name filed : "pl nowe haslo / new password" but in user interface users see "pl nowe haslo / new password" instead "nowe haslo"

btw: pl - polish

What Did I do wrong ???

Nothing. "de plomberie" wasn't supposed to indicate German. It was the response from Google Translate when I typed in the word "plumbing".
This is a free text field. No magic exists here to translate. All I was suggesting is that you put both translations in the line so people can read both.
