I'm using since 2 years OTRS which support me in doing IT interventions.
At the end of an SLA-year of a costumer, we send him the final invoice with an overview of all the tickets made and resolved from the past year.
But, this yearly action is becomes a huge manual time eating activity.
What we do is:
- inputting manually the timesheet records (exported to excel file from timesheet app) to the invoice.
- adding the corresponding ticket ID (when starting a new timesheet record, we try already to add the corresponding ticket ID)
So. Time to automate a bit all these time consuming actions.
We tested Zendesk, and they seem to have the possibilities to connect already with a lot of other applications (timesheet, iphone app, invoicing, ...).
But we want to continue with OTRS.
So, we're looking for some help/advice on software.
1/ We want to have the possibility to connect in a way a timesheet record automatically to a created ticket
2/ when the ticket closed, we want to send that to the invoice
3/ The invoice software (yes, we want replace our existing application) must be browser based, and if possible having a iphone app. We must install and host this software inhouse
Requirements for the invoice application is:
- automatic invoicing by import of data (OTRS thus)
- recurring invoicing (monthly, yearly)
- creating predefined articles (with different lines)
- managing stock
- nice extra's for later
- automatic follow up expired invoices (mail, print)

>> online overview for customer
A very nice and easy option in current invoice software is that we can put a time line which results automatically in amount of hours, eg:
- 08/12 08u38-> 10u04
>> this line give automatically 1,29 hours worked
