How to set auto response

Could someone post a walk through on how to set an auto response, i followed the steps from the otrs documentation and its not working, dunno what am i doing wrong.

Id really appreciate anyones help.

ok guys, so i figured the problem i was facing above, rather then placing pop at email options i had it placed on pop3s.



now i have another question, the email i have set to OTRS is *****@domain.com


i want the customers to send me TT directly to the above email and i want otrs to automatically reply to them with a Ticket # assigned to them.


is this plausable?can it be done?
