Upgrading from 2.4.7 to 3.0.1 to 3.1.6

I upgraded from 2.4.7 to 3.0.1 (using the Linux RPM packages) successfully. I also ran through the upgrade instructions for 3.0 to 3.1 using the 3.1 RPMs on CentOS 6.2

I can login fine and my tickets show up except there are no images showing anywhere and I cannot see any admin controls. I am thinking that there is something wrong with the template/themes etc.?

I would appreciate any help. I only see texts and links (no images whatsover).

I was able to resolve this. The themes are not compatible (did not know what this meant since I was working on the OTRS for the first time). There is a directory /opt/otrs/Kernel/Output/HTML/MyCompany/*.dtl. I just renamed this directory to MyCompany.orig. I believe it is now using the /opt/otrs/Kernel/Output/HTML/Standard/*.dtl and it works.

The new interface is very good. Intuitive, apple-like and easy to navigate. I went from 2.4.7 to 3.1.6 (two step upgrade 2.4.7 -> 3.0.1 --> 3.1.6) but I think it is worth it for what you get.
