Dear People,
unfortunately i have to request your support. I am sitting in the office and set up an OTRS installation for testing purposes on a virtual machine on my local pc. The installation worked out good and the server is running. Unluckily i have entered my company mailbox as e-mail account within the initial configuration. Now OTRS 'stolen' all my mails out of the mailbox!!. That is catastrophic... Please help me, and advise me how to get back my mails into my mailbox. Further it would be helpful how to configure the corresponding "mail-fetching-service", in order to leave copies on the server!
I have installed OTRS on Debian Linux with the help of the following instruction:
http://wiki.otterhub.org/index.php?titl ... 5.04_lenny
It is version 3.1.7!
and my mailbox is an IMAP account!
Please note that i am not an expert.
Help is appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
bman

Re: Urgent: mailbox empty
If you're using Exchange and you have retention, you might be able to use OWA and get them back, but otherwise, no, you can't go backwards from OTRS.
no human should ever touch the OTRS mailbox. It retrieves all the mail on purpose because every email to the otrs box is a ticket.
You can't configure the mail-fetching-service to leave copies on the server.
