Need to move servers

Hi There

i have had issues with my current install for some time, the packages will not reinstall etc etc.

i would like to move the database to a new server but i dont want to drag over all the problems with the problematic packages etc.

i would like to setup a new server with the same version running and then import the tickets in to that server and then upgrade to the latest patch (3.2.4) im on 3.2.2 at the moment

can someone help me by telling me what i need to backup in order to achieve this. i know what i need to backup normally but i only want to move the required bits to get the new server running with all the current tickets.

i have to many open to just start a fresh unfortunately.

is it possible for me to just take a dump of the tickets and move them over or is their certain tables that need to be moved as well... we are using MySQL and we have MySQl Workbench if this helps everything is pretty much standard its running on a centos 6.3 box (in both cases) nothing else runs on that box. the users are all pretty much standard and we have the FAQ module in use.

there isnt any special settings that i can think of other than we removed the otrs in the url but thats about it.

i would love to have this running back at 100% on a new box again and possibly be able to tweak different bits with it i.e chat and the itsm module.

any help or advise would be greatly appreciated, im not very clued up on how otrs works so please dumb it down a bit

summary for you should be:
install and test same version at destination.
backup otrs filesystem and backup entire database at source

restore otrs filesystem and mysql database at destination
check permissions
clear cache
test
upgrade to 3.2.4 from source (read UPGRADING).

thanks for the update but i dont want to pull over all the information from the current setup

i want to copy the users and the tickects only the rest im happy to setup from new.

the problem i have is i have a number of packages that cannot install but i cannot uninstall them either.

i copied everything over to a new server and got this result...

if i can just get the tickets to be exported or something im happy to set it up from scratch on the new server..

is there a way to do this

Then you're going to have some issues.

copy the users and the tickects only the rest im happy to setup from new.

nonetheless, you'll need to sqldump/restore the database to accomplish this. And if you were using filesystem storage (instead of database storage) of attachments, you'll need to copy them, as well.
in addition, you'll need to copy the config files and any other customized files between the two.

There is no "just get the tickets to be exported" --
You need tickets, articles, queues, customers, services, slas, dynamic fields, states, groups, and other interrelated data.

ok makes sense, ive just rechecked the modules and they all seem to be enabled and working when they were not a few days ago so not sure what has happened here. maybe i should give the move another go and see if it works this time.

i have got one last error / warning
A CPU load check. We try to find out if the system load in the last 15 minutes < 1.
The Host System has a load: 1.20 in the last 1 minute 1.14 in the last 5 minutes 1.05 in the last 15 minutes

i wouldnt have said the server was under load so it must be a setting that isnt quite right... do you have any ideas where i should look.

any suggestions would be a help. i plan on moving this over to a virtual server anyway so hopefully it will be resolved as part of that but just incase i can tweak it a little better before the move let me know
