Hi,
I just downloaded the 3.2.6 version and trying to install on a Windows XP PC. The installation runs fine but Apache fails to start. The only message I see in the error log is the following "Starting the Apache2.2 service The Apache2.2 service is running.1 Scalars leaked: 1".
I had sometime ago installed OTRS on a Windows server 2003 and there was no problem.. Is there any issue with Windows XP?

Installation woes - Apache fails to start

Re: Installation woes - Apache fails to start
Hi,
Some additional information.. The server crashes after loading the perl module. I commented the line and restarted httpd and it works. But as soon as I uncommented the Load Perl module, the server crashes again. I checked and the perl module indeed exists in the modules directory.
Starting the Apache2.2 service
The Apache2.2 service is running.

Re: Installation woes - Apache fails to start
Hello,
I uninstalled version 3.2.6 and installed the version 3.1.12 which was running on another box and the installation went fine without any problems!
Can anyone please suggest what could be wrong in 3.2.6 to cause Apache to crash?
Thanks,
sg

Re: Installation woes - Apache fails to start
No idea. Windows XP isn't exactly an environment I'd put the latest *anything* on. That said, I'd consider putting VirtualBox with Linux on XP and install OTRS there. Performance is likely to stink, as your XP box probably doesn't have more than 512MB RAM anyway and partitioning some of *that* out for a Virtual Machine will bring your whole box to a crawl.
But, if this is the only box you have upon which to test, I'd suggest putting in a junk hard drive, installing a Linux distro and installing OTRS that way.

OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.
