Hi All!
New to OTRS/ITSM. I have done some piloting using the the WAMPerl stack from the stable windows installer and am now ready to start planning our test/prod deployment.
Desired Config
- Windows 2008R2 64bit
- IIS 7.5
- ActivePerl 64bit
- SQL 2012
Trying to install 3.2.6 using the Windows 3.0.0b2 installer (otrs-3.2.6-win-installer-3.0.0-beta2.exe) I get the message "You have installed ActiveStatePerl 64-bit. Please uninstall the 64-bit version and install the x86 version before continuing setup."
It is true that we have the 64bit version installed, but removing it is not a good option for us. Is there a workaround to use the 64 bit version of ActivePerl or is this known not to work?
Is it possible to proceed with the 64 bit version using a manual install? I'm sure I've read posts of others doing this.
This is what I was hoping to follow before finding the Win 3.0.0b2 installer that supported IIS7 & SQL: http://wiki.otterhub.org/index.php?titl ... _and_IIS_7. I also found the optimization post: viewtopic.php?f=60&t=19046
If I follow these and am installing everying manually, were is best place to get the OTRS files to use on Windows without installing Apache/mySQL?
Thank a bunch for your time and this great OpenSource product!

Re: ActivePerl 64 bit (Win3b2 Installer)
Used the windows source files in "OTRS 3.2.7 zip" and followed the instructions in the SQL/IIS post I linked to, but using my existing ActivePerl 64. Added a Script Map handler for *.pl using perl.exe from my 64 bit ActivePerl distribution and am up and running.
Will need to thoroughly test, and look into performance improvements, before going to prod.
