I install OTRS 3.3 and configured the email. I test sending ticket email but then when they reply it generates another ticket number. Where can I fix this? Please help. Thanks!!

Re: OTRS response
this shouldn't happen. Can you explain in better terms who "they" are and how "they" reply to a ticket that has a ticket number in the subject that it either creates a new ticket or replies with a completely different ticket number?
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.

Re: OTRS response

I am confused because it should have the same ticket number includes in its history.. Thanks for your response.

Re: OTRS response
I install OTRS 3.3 on my windows 7 pro PC. then I send sample email ticket to my colleague . he tried to reply but it says that It is not possible to reply to root@localhost.. so I change it. I create new email address that I can use as replacement for root@localhost. I changed it and log in using that account. then that's the time I send another email ticket to my colleague and he replied. as I receive his email and there is new ticket number attached on his reply. I really don't understand why it has different ticket number. Is this some kind of settings needs to configure correctly?

Re: OTRS response
No, you have to create an appropriate email address (Admin, email addresses) and assign it to the queeusaferrer wrote:e tried to reply but it says that It is not possible to reply to root@localhost.. so I change it.
