Blue Vertical Lines in Ticket Body

Is there a way to remove the blue vertical lines that appear in the body of a ticket? All of my users are complaining and I am not sure if there is a way to remove them all together? Also, it seems the font randomly changes to 8 point font when the ticket is sent to a recipient outside of OTRS. Does anyone else ever experience these formatting anomalies, or is it just me?

It just seems that a lot of odd things occur regarding formatting, not a lot of consistency.

blue lines are used for the quotes

not via config. perhaps via css. But quotes should be shown correctly
