(CLOSED) Add customer address fields to the search?

Post by bayerex »

Hi all,

is it possible to add search fields from the customer table? For example then we could search for "All open tickets in given-Queue and in a given-city"?

Thanks in advance.

Possible? Not with stock OTRS. This would require development. If you want the information attached to a ticket, you'll want to store it in a Dynamic Field.
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.

I already understand how to create a dynamic field and add that to ViewSearch but I guess there's more to it when it comes to adding a field from the customer table.

Can you give me a clue what development would need to be done?

Change the ticket search code to get customer data.
