Configure Office 365 mail account

Post by RaphaelPinheiro »

Hello everyone!

We're migrating our Exchange Server to the cloud, using Microsoft Office 365. But I'm having some trouble configuring it.
I don't know whether the problem is a misconfiguration in OTRS itself or if it is within the mail server. We configured as IMAP and had set correctly the username, password and host. When we fetch the mail, no error appears but it don't really fetch it.

If you need more information, don't hesitate to ask me!

Thank you very much already!

Either you can contact the microsoft support or you configure an mailclient like thunderbird and test the imap connection.

Hello!

Thank you two for the response!
Klaus, I have already talked with Microsoft and they give me the necessary information to configure an IMAP connection. Even with these configuration, it didn't work.

reneeb, where can I see the LOG Files? Because when I try to fetch the mail, it simply doesn't show anything.

Thank you again!

Do tell. In what way did it not work?

Can you test imap via telnet from the OTRS box?
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.

Hi guys!

Thanks for your tips, the Fetch Mail is almost 100%!
The thing now is that it's not deleting the messages from the INBOX. So, everytime OTRS Fetch the mail, it get the same old messages within the new ones. Is there any configuration I need to do in OTRS to solve this problem?

Thank you again!

this is not an OTRS issue. OTRS always deletes mail after fetch.

So:

- the connection might be ended to early by the server
- the server ignores thee deletion request
"Production": OTRS™ 8, OTRS™ 7, STORM powered by OTRS
"Testing": ((OTRS Community Edition)) and git Master

Hello!

For everyone who helped me: thank you very much.

We had some authentication issues. So we changed SysConfig -> Framework -> Core::Sendmail options.
Now everything is working just fine!

Do I need to mark the topic with "SOLVED" or something else?

Thank you guys again!
