OTRS ITSM new installation - documentation?

I'm having a bit of trouble getting started with OTRS ITSM and am looking for some clear/concise documentation.

I've installed it, managed to get LDAP auth going, modified the change request template and added some additional fields.

I'd like to initially use the system to submit changes without those changes needing to come from a ticket. I can submit the change request, and create a work order against it - but how do I change the state of the change request? I've given myself every possible role... As far as I understand the system, somewhere in the sysconfig rules need to be defined to change state - but I can't find this setting - and also feel the need for a manually triggered state change.

I'm also lost as to try and find where the CAB stuff is defined in the settings.

Some concise/clear documentation would be great - does anyone know of any?

Ok, I've finally managed to work it out.
Under 'conditions' I created a condition to modify the state of the change to 'accepted' whenever a workorder was created with a specific title.

I then created a work order with the specific title and everything worked as expected.
