Hi,
I have created our own saluations and signatures. Also I have created our own auto responses. When a customer creates a ticket, an auto response is sent. I don't see any saluation or signature in the auto response email message.
Although I have read the manual, I still don't understand the difference between saluations, signatures and auto responses. When will salutations and signatures be used and is there any relation with other messages, like auto responses?
Regards,
Jasper Kimmel

Re: How do Salutations, signatures and auto responses work
I think I found it myself. Just one question left. Can I build a auto response from a salutations + response + signature like a template answer? What I mean is, can I use some sort of OTRS tag to refer to a salutation or do I need to make a salutation by hand in the autor esponse?

Salutations and Signatures are attached to queues.jkimmel wrote:Can I build a auto response from a salutations + response + signature like a template answer?
Of course, if they're blank, then responses attached to queues can hold all the information.
