I feel like I've searched every corner of the forum and haven't found my answer. Hopefully this isn't somewhere and I missed it.
We are testing the current version of the OTRS appliance for a simple deployment we have. The initial tests have gone well in our own VM environment. Now we want to transfer the virtual machine to the client's VMware infrastructure. I was excited to see a Backup option on the appliance console menu so I tried it out. It created appliance.iso and I was able to download it and open the ISO to confirm there was some content. Now, what do I do with the ISO? How to you use the Backup ISO to perform a recovery of an appliance?
If I'm going down the wrong path, what is the suggested method to move a VM? Should I just use other tools to do this or is there something I can use within the OTRS/Appliance options to minimize my work?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Appliance Backup
I don't see a point as to why you backup to ISO? You just need to copy all the files in the folder of your OTRS appliance.
Usually you will find files like .vmx . nvram .vmdk etc. copy the content to external HDD and transfer it to your customer's VMWare environment. usually this is done through your ESXi or vSphere console.

Re: Appliance Backup
Probably better/easier would be to use OTRS's backup to create the filesystem and database backup structure on source. This is a small (relatively speaking) file.
Install the Appliance ISO at destination.
Transfer backup structure to destination appliance.
use OTRS restore.
