Slow performance when creating tickets

Hello,

We have OTRS 4 setup with MYSQL database and has been working fine for the last 8+ months

Up until Friday DEC 30th, we noticed that it was taking some time for people to create a ticket.

Looking up the customer ID will take about 10-15 seconds very as it was very immediately
Submitting a phone ticket will now take approx. 1-3 minutes

I have checked the 'System Logs'
Tue Jan 3 13:21:20 2017 error OTRS-CGI-89 Can't connect to ***.**********.***: IO::Socket::INET6: connect: No route to host

There is a bunch of these errors happening, and this seems to be happening when the user is searching and creating a ticket.

They can create tickets but its just really slow.

We don't seem to be using IPv6 on the server and judging by that error it seems it is trying to use IPv6? how can I go about and disabling that?

Been researching the problem but running out of luck.

We have also rebooted the server but the issue still comes back.

Hi,

restore your changes on the system.

I assume you changed your customer database source (LDAP?) somehow or your network(s) "no route to host" does seem to be a network issue.

Issue seems to be resolved now! seemed to be a DNS issue on of our of servers.

Looking customers names up is very quick again and creating a ticket is very fast..no more slow downs :)
