Pls help!OTRS does not work on internet but works on LAN

Hi,

First of all thank you for reading this, i hope someone can help me with this issue... I have an otrs installation running on a windows xp 32bit sp3 computer. the computer got infected by a conflicker.b virus some time ago, fixed now; afterwhich OTRS started behaving oddly... i have otrs running on the net through port forwards and it works fine on the net for awhile but after a while it will just stop working... lan however works fine if we connect by lan ip or computer name. i can make it temporarily work by restarting the service and re confirming port 80 on the port forward on my router (wag200g). It instantly starts working after that but never stays for more then a couple of hours... i am able to ping the url, but when i type it i do not get the "It Works!" message if otrs is not working, eg:

when the problem happens:
http://www.abc.com = page cannot be displayed
http://www.abc.com/otrs/index.pl = page cannot be displayed (the mini favicon does come out through)
ping abc.com = TTL 255
http://192.x.x.x/or http://computername/= It Works!
http://192.x.x.x/ or http://computername/otrs/index.pl = OTRS login screen

I have tried installing vtiger on this computer before as well but it had issues so i uninstalled it, theres also afew other sql/mysql applications which have been running before otrs was installed fine.
any idea what might be causing this?
i'll offer a small reward to anyone who can help me successfully fix this issue.

if you ping www.abc.com, does it resolve to the same ip address as the otrs box?

thanks for your replies guys, it gives the same ip as the router, the router is forwarding port 80 to the computer. and another thing, if i just reapply the port settings on the router the problem is not fixed, i have to restart the service AND reapply the port settings. maybe reapplying just refreshes the router to let it know that the server is working on port 80 again? i havent waited for awhile after the service has been restarted so i'll go check on that. i got a software to monitor the port 80 on the forwarded url and it seems it went down in a couple of hours...

oh hold on whats this? i reapplied the port forward settings to triple check and otrs is now working on abc.com?
lets see how long it lasts...
i hope its just the router....

it went down again and i reapplied the port forwards, worked again.... goina add another wag200 to act as a slave and forward the ports after removing port forward from first to be sure...
