Re: Mail not being sent - Impossible to send message
My Exchange server looks a lot different than yours. GNA is the name of the server by the way. The default GNA connector is the one I ran the command on

Re: Mail not being sent - Impossible to send message
Thanks for the response. But what is "YourReceiveConnectorNameForOTRS"? - would that be the DNS name of the exchange server that OTRS connects to? Open up an Exchange Management Shell on your Exchange server and run Get-ReceiveConnector, it will list all connectors and show you what port ...

Re: Mail not being sent - Impossible to send message
@KPS I have the same problem. For some of my customers it fails to send and there's a comma at the end! Did you manage to fix the problem in the end? It was linked to using Exchange to send mails. I ran Set-ReceiveConnector "YourReceiveConnectorNameForOTRS" -MaxAcknowledgementDelay 0 on m...

Re: Adding links to the Menu
Thanks for your help as always crythias. Do you ever sleep or get anything else done. :D I think I'm confusing myself as much as I'm confusing you. I've now seen the Admin Customer Management page and the CustomerID is a drop down list of all CustomerID's and Company created in the Customer Company ...

Re: Adding links to the Menu
I've just uncommented this out in the defaults.pm file so that it reads CustomerCompanySupport -> 1 Don't touch defaults.pm. Copy to Config.pm and edit there. Defaults.pm is overridden on updates. I've added the CustomerCompanySupport => 1; to the config.pm under OTRS\OTRS\Kernel\Config.pm, is this...

Re: Adding links to the Menu
My plan is to link the customerID in the change customer page to the CustomerCompanies That would be CustomerCompanySupport. I've just uncommented this out in the defaults.pm file so that it reads CustomerCompanySupport -> 1 All that I can see that has happened is; when I open click on CustomerID l...

Adding links to the Menu
I want to add a couple of links to my current menu. At the moment we have Dashboard | Tickets | Statistics | Customers | Admin | SearchIcon I want to add links to a couple of queues that we use more than most. I also want a link to the Customer Companies admin page (http://server/otrs/index.pl?Actio...

Best practice for closing tickets
This may be a general helpdesk question rather than a specific OTRS question. We use our OTRS as a support ticket system to record customer support calls for the software we write. These mainly come in via email. OTRS has been working really well for us as before we were just monitoring calls via em...

How do I stop users re-opening closed calls
Every once in a while a customer will respond to a old ticket that has already been closed. Sometimes with a new query worthy of a new ticket, sometimes just to say thanks.
Is there a way to stop closed calls being reopened and if so what happens when someone replies to a closed call?

Re: Mail not being sent - Impossible to send message
This issue has got a lot better since using the methods, I used above but I still see it from time to time. I sent a ticket to a customer this morning that errored, went back and sent again, errored again, went back a third time and added myself to the To: list. It errored again but I received the m...

Re: Mail not being sent - Impossible to send message
I may have got a bit further with this. I've not had a failure for a while but when pdragovich says it always fails when the To field is active, for me it always seems to work when I click on the To field before I click Submit http://i50.tinypic.com/2w2n4au.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/2w2n4au.jpg

Re: Mail not being sent - Impossible to send message
I am also having the same problem. I am running on a Windows 2008R2 with OTRS 3.1.3. I have tested a few messages and it looks like if you do not move the active cursor from the TO: field that it fails. When I click into the message body before I close the ticket it has completed correctly. Is ther...

Re: Mail not being sent - Impossible to send message
I'm on 3.1.8. I thought I'd updated my signature but obviously not. This customer has been added as a customer but some others that have failed have not been added in as customers in OTRS. Just customers who have emailed our support address.

Re: Multiple customers logging tickets for multiple companie
I'm sorry for the complexity of how I asked the question. I'm struggling with it myself. To try and clear things up, our partners do not have access to our OTRS. If one of our mutual customers has an issue then the partner (acting as a first line) will send an email to our support address that is th...

Multiple customers logging tickets for multiple companies
I'm new to OTRS so bear with me. I've setup a new install with 8 agents to handle our companies support calls from customers. Customers have no access to the system. I'm not sure how to set up the following scenario: We have direct customers who may have multiple users contacting us with support iss...
