After many troubled days trying to update OTRS from 3.2.8 to 3.2.9 on Linux I finally yound this thread. It worked great.

I had the same issue on our system. Go to 'D:/PROGRA~1/OTRS/OTRS/bin/cgi-bin' and open the customer.pl file with your editor. Do the following change in the first row:
-- #!/usr/bin/perl
++ #!perl

Hi, I'm using the Windows package of OTRS and I've also updated from OTRS 3.2.5 to OTRS 3.2.6 with ITSM 3.2.3.
